Product Stewardship

NatureWorks LLC has a fundamental duty to all who make and use our products, and to the environment in which we live. This duty is the basis for our Product Stewardship philosophy, by which we assess the health and environmental information on our products and their intended use, then, take appropriate steps to protect the environment and health of our employees and the public. Our job is to maintain an effective product stewardship program to ensure that our customers involved with our product receive sufficient information and training to store, use, and dispose of our product with no harm to human health or the environment.

We’ve only begun to discover the potential of NatureWorks® biopolymer. The many applications and projects now underway with converters, manufacturers and marketers have, and will continue to, produce exciting new opportunities in a variety of markets across the globe. As we move forward, we feel it is our responsibility to help ensure that the applications, in which our products are used, are not for applications for which they were not intended or tested. We encourage our customers and potential users of our product to review their applications for such products from the standpoint of human health and environmental quality and we expect ourselves to set the highest standards for the introduction of biopolymers into today’s markets, working closely with customers to help encourage the same.
